Hitt Street Minimart 2008

Hitt Street Minimart is a neighborhood store in downtown Columbia, north of the University of Missouri campus. I heard people calling it ‘no-gas’ or other similar nicknames to taunt with the fact that it is a kind of store you would expect to see at a gas station but it isn’t. At night, Hitt Street Minimart is like an oasis for college students who come in thirsty for booze or other vices. During daytime, however, it serves a variety of types of people in the neighborhood, including those from the nearby Paquin Tower–a housing community for individuals with disabilities or lower incomes.
