Provided assistance to the Vice President of Editorial and helped in leading the content and production aspects of the newsroom. Wrote, produced, edited news video content; published content for the website. Managed student staff and innovated content, technology and production processes.

Multimedia Editor, Columbia Missourian Newspaper

June – July 2008

Conceptualized and produced online content, i.e. videos, audio, photos and audio slideshows, for the newspaper’s website, mostly feature stories.

Reporter, KBIA Radio (An NPR affiliate)

January – July 2008

Covered general assignment stories and feature stories in mid-Missouri area, along with local election coverage. Voiced and produced the newscasts. Produced audio podcasts for the station’s art and culture program.

Co-producer, Thailand Outlook Channel

November 2005 – July 2007

Prepared news topics and program rundown for the morning news talk show and supervised studio production. Responsibilities included gathering story updates, preparing background research on topics for show hosts, guest booking and arranging visual and audio elements for the show.

Translated and rewrote a wide range of news from Thai into English for daily newscasts. Served as a part-time reporter for extra assignments, covering current events, including political and academic seminars in English.
